Chip Haring

Executive Advisor, Broker Relations - RxBenefits

Chip Haring is an Executive Advisor for Broker Relations at RxBenefits, where he oversees key global firm relationships and works directly with C-Suite teams and Pharmacy Practice Leaders to align business development and account management activities. With over 28 years in the pharmacy benefits management industry, Chip has built a reputation for executive-level relationship building, responsiveness, and delivering results across a wide range of accounts — including hospitals, municipalities, TPAs, coalitions, and large national employers. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Social Work from Southeast Missouri State University.




John C. Hesse, MHA

Vice President, Business Development - Carle Health

John has held a number of health care leadership positions over a 30-year career.  Residing in Bloomington, IL, John is currently serving as Vice President for Business Development for Carle Health, which is inclusive of the Champaign/Urbana, Bloomington/Normal and Greater Peoria markets.  John is responsible for the growth and positioning of Carle Health in Central Illinois, including mergers & acquisitions, market assessment, physician relations and service line development. Mr. Hesse also provides leadership for strategy and growth of service area community partnerships. John holds a master's degree in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Iowa.




Dr. Teny Philip Thomas

Medical Director - Marathon Health

Dr. Teny Philip Thomas is a board-certified family medicine physician based in Illinois with more than 10 years of clinical experience in primary care. She brings a diverse multicultural perspective to patient care, having been born in India, raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and later relocating to the United States. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is committed to delivering compassionate, culturally responsive care to patients from a wide range of backgrounds.


Dr. Thomas earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Neuroscience, with a minor in Spanish Literature, from the University of California San Diego. She received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. During residency, she was recognized with Excellence Awards for outstanding service in Maternity Care and Geriatric Medicine.


Following residency, Dr. Thomas served as a Primary Care Physician with NorthShore University Health System and as a clinical educator for the Pritzker School of Medicine. She currently practices at the Local 597 Pipefitters Family Wellness Center in Palatine, IL and serves as Medical Director for Marathon Health.




Ron Eberle

Group Benefits Associate
Director, Sales and Account Management at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois

Ron joined BCBSIL in 1992 and has held several positions in Sales and Account Management and the Customer Service Divisions. Since 2015, Ron has work in the State Markets Region and now leads the State Markets account management teams from the Rockford and Springfield offices. In this role, he is responsible for existing account retention in the mid-market and large group segments and community affairs.


Ron previously served in the role of strategic account executive for many years and was responsible for the account management activities of some of BCBS of Illinois’ largest clients, including McDonald's Corporation, State Farm, UPS, United Airlines, and the Northrop Grumman Corporation. Ron also has experience in Operations and launched the People Management Office for the Claims and Customer Service Revitalization Project in 2006. In this role he focused on staffing, communications, training, and change management aspects of the multi-year project. In addition, Ron has managed the account implementation area that supports new business installations and client-centric projects.


Ron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Northeastern Illinois University and earned the Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans in March of 2009.

After the panel, the evening continues with wood-fired gourmet pizzas crafted by acclaimed Chef Josh Lanning, paired with drinks and open networking. A graduate of the International Culinary Center in New York, Lanning trained at Michelin three-star SingleThread Farms in California and built his reputation across some of the most respected kitchens in the country — bringing fine-dining technique to approachable, ingredient-driven food.
